Firstly, a big thank-you to all of you who have helped make Freedom Ocean the #1 Marketing podcast on the Australian iTunes store … within 72-hours of launch!
In this episode, James continues to lift the lid on five more Internet marketing business models … any of which could be a $10,000, $100,000 or $1,000,000 a year business.
James shares what he loves about his life as Australia’s leading Internet marketer? And even tells us what his wife thinks of his career beyond the corporate jungle. What she says will amaze you!
We’re all reminded just how modular the process of starting an Internet business is.
Plus we explore the pain of disconnect … a concept that once understood, can provide a platform for many Internet marketing ideas.
Quote of the show – “Time = Life.” – James Schramko.

Love it! There is so much to get through the time slips away. 1 hour is just a bit much. 40 mins is perfect! OK so my commute is 45-50mins and I keep missing the endings!!! Great work
We might throw some short episodes in to mix it up!
Awesome show! My appetite has definitely been whet… can’t wait till you guys delve a little more in to the ‘how’
be sure to specify what ‘How’ interests you the most because there is a lot of stuff we can dig deeper on. Thank you
Wow speedy reply!
Well this week I think it’s definitely outsourcing and automation that interests me the most, aside from that there was so much within those 10 business models but it just seemed to be about the models not exactly how to implement those models e.g. becoming and affiliate creating an affiliate program also I was really interested in the membership model.
Thanks again for the reply!
I would love to hear the step by step (and options) for setting up affiliates for a product you produce yourself. Love the idea of others out there selling it but channeling through my site. Cheers, Dan.
Great idea Dan. We’ll cover it in an upcomh episode.
Hey guys, great call. I love the way you guys break down the tech talk to the bare essentials. great stuff! Towards the end of the call, James mentioned his autoblog strategy.
Can you let us know which plugins (both autoblog and affiliate product linking) he is referring to? Cheers
Paul when you combine ‘Feedwordpress” with Yahoo pipes mashups you can get some very nice autoblog leverage. A further discussion topic perhaps? For the most part autoblogs are not as useful as fresh content. Use autoblogs as leverage only and never as a standalone business model. They can easily be de-indexed if you overdo it.
James & Tim, another great podcast. I have been listening to the both of you separately for a while and I am thoroughly enjoying you together. Keep up the excellent work.
Thanks James. I’m using Yahoo Pipes on another project, so that’s nice to know. Can you divulge the name of the cross linking plugin to link keywords to your affiliate product links?
cheers
btw – sorry for the double post. Would you put Autoblogged in the same category as feedwordpress?
Thanks James and Tim…
. Listening with Ipod and scraping… First 10 episodes is downloaded and I will keep on listening tomorrow with my funny Sunday work
.
I have just waited the right moment to start listen your podcasts… today was the day. I’m going to paint my house (not outsource it) – before painting I have to scrape the old painting… huge job. Thanks to your 3 first episodes I managed it great today
Hi Henri. Thanks so much for your feedback. There are so many painting analogies I can think of that are relevant to Internet marketing. The most appropriate is that it’s imperative to do all the necessary preparation upfront before launching in to the real job at hand. It makes life so much easier!
I have looked over what companies I currently do business with and grabbed my affiliate link from them, e.g. ODESk, Vista Print.
Some don’t offer affiliate links because you are based in Australia e.g. Carbonite
I am now thinking of strategic ways to place the links.
How about a resources report or recommended page @Heather
Hi James and Tim,
Fairly new listener here from the states. Catching up on all the past episodes. Great stuff, I am learning so much.
Question? I came to this post to look at the show notes… You guys were mentioning a way to record webinars, and a way to do replays of them, I think Tim said even automatically?
What software, or service is that?
Thanks! And keep up the great job!
Eric Foster
GoToWebinar allows you to record. Also I use Screenflow for this.
O yea… I would also appreciate a suggestion of what software to use for recording Skype calls.
Thanks again!
Eric Foster
I use Call Recorded for Mac. Also I record my audio into Screenflow and export as lossless for MP3 conversion
